With two league games to go, Aston Villa are in prime position for the play-offs. With just two wins away from automatic promotion (as long as Cardiff hit a poor run of form), the Villa fans have full faith that their boys in claret and blue will be fighting in the Premiership next season. This is well overdue for Aston Villa players and fans alike, and Guards London wish them the best of luck in the coming weeks!

We recently caught up with one of our brand ambassadors, ex-Arsenal and now Aston Villa midfielder Henri Lansbury, he gave us the low down on his team mates and his favourite go to Guards outerwear.

Who’s the best and worst dressed at Villa?

Alan Hutton has a right go with his gear! All the lads rip into him, so it has to be Hutts!

Do you think this will be the season Aston Villa get back into the Premiership?

I think we have a great chance of going up but we have to perform on the pitch to get the results, we had a tough start to the season but we’ve hit a good turn of form. The last win at home to Cardiff was vital.

What’s been the highlight/lowlight of your career?

My biggest highlight has to be scoring for Arsenal against Tottenham at White Hart Lane. The thrill of scoring in a huge derby game like this doesn’t get any better. My lowlight has to be getting injured for so long, it knocks your confidence, you can’t train as hard as the other lads, not being able to play and be a part of something special is the hardest thing to go through as a professional footballer.

You’ve suffered a terrible knee injury this season, what’s been the key to your recovery?

Just staying mentally strong helps. Believing that you’re getting better with every session you do in the gym, getting strong for return to training, and having the backing of the manager is such a key part to this.

What’s your go to Guards piece?

It’s all great, the range is so different to all other macs out there, but I think the Harrington has to be my favourite, I look good in that!

Why should people choose Guards?

It’s a great range of outerwear with amazing detail, it’s a fantastic British brand and can be worn for every occasion.
